Elderly Man Killed In Single Vehicle Crash

Florida Destin  Police say the 87-year-old man drove up onto the sidewalk and hit a concrete wall near the Destin Airport.

The Okaloosa County Sheriff’s Office says an 87-year-old man was killed in a Memorial Day crash in Destin.

The man was next to the Destin Airport when he went around a curve, onto the sidewalk and hit a concrete wall. He was taken by Life Flight to Sacred Heart Hospital where he was pronounced dead.

The victim's name has not been released. The Okaloosa County Sheriff’s Office Traffic Homicide Investigators are investigating the accident.
