Florida Highway Patrol is investigating an accident that sent three people to the hospital after they say an SUV slammed into a building.

FHP says a woman was trying to avoid a stopped vehicle on Beal Parkway when her SUV swerved onto the shoulder and crashed into the side wall of the Miracle Mart Plaza building near Duloft Street. That's in Fort Walton Beach. FHP investigators say there were seven people inside the building at the time of the accident. Three were taken to Fort Walton Beach Medical Center.

The driver, 37-year old Jennifer Sirney of Tampa, Florida was charged with careless driving.
