Six men, including three former workers at the General Electric facility on Scenic Highway in Pensacola, have been accused of stealing hundreds of thousands of dollars worth of copper wire.

"This is the largest copper theft ring we've ever seen," says Escambia County Sheriff Ron McNesby. "The men stole 63-thousand pounds of copper, valued at 367-thousand dollars."

The six men have been arrested and charged with grand theft. Warrants are out for three other men (Cordero Smith, Eugene Roberson, Howard English) believed to be involved in the major theft ring.

"Copper wire theft is on the rise," says McNesby. "Every county in this part of Florida has a problem with it."

The former G-E employees are accused of loading truckloads full of copper cable then selling it to local recycling centers. Local recycling centers are cracking down on "hot" copper...and are implementing strict policies when buying the material.

I agree. Talk to you later.

Correct Barefootangel, They said they were computer generated from driver licenses. And some people keep getting picked while others haven’t ever served, that’s the bone I would like to pick with them. I don’t think any one should be required to serve a second time until every person holding a driver license has served at least once in a complete cycle. Well I gotta go do my tread mill thing for about 30 minutes , talk to you later.

In Alabama you do not have to be a voter, they pick your driver license or ID in Montgomery.

That’s exactly what I’m saying. Once I knew who was involved and what crime was committed against who, It would be safe to say my bias would be fairly concrete in this case. Rational thought would have nothing to do with it for me. Just what I would like to see happen would be the controlling factor for me at that point. You continue to surprise me MeAmerican, I didn’t even think you knew what rational thought meant, but I like the way you continue to push the envelope. I just couldn’t resist giving you a little jab back, Sorry about that but it gave me a little chuckle.

Didn’t realize you were a registered voter in Escambia Co. Not real familier of the courts calling people from one city to hear the case in another much less from another state. Seems like clear rational thought the likes of which appear to escape some due to there personal opinions. So what your saying is that you could NOT go into the court room w/an unbiased view.

How do you know I’m not going to be on that jury ? Haven’t you noticed my previous posts about the jury selection process concerning me and others but I can’t say anything further about it.

Serious as Serious can get! After hearing all that about GE and Iran on the O’Reilly factor It’d be my way of striking back at GE, even though it meant some well deserved jail time would be forgiven for these criminals. I’m not for these criminals, I’m just more for seeing that GE dosen’t make as much profit for their dealings with Iran which I think is of much greater concern for me than stealing copper. Just my opinion and view which I would act on and my way of punishing GE.

Let’s all be thankful that on the jury you are not! Do the crime, do the time! Regardless of what heresay may point to.

Are you serious? Tell me you are not serious…

Hate to say it but the way GE is working arm in arm with Iran and Iran furnishing weapons to insurgents killing American service people,if I was on the jury they wouldn’t get anything other than probation.
