The Okaloosa County Sheriff's Office made an arrest Thursday in a 10 year old murder case.

Deputies say 39-year old Todd Ball of Lynn Haven killed his ex-wife in 1999. Laurie Kimberlyn Clements Ball, known as "Kim", disappeared June 10, 1999 while carrying cleaning supplies out of a home on Holiday Isle in Destin. Her body was found two days later by fishermen in a swampy area off County Road 393 in South Walton County.

Okaloosa County investigators and FBI agents never gave up. They finally gathered enough evidence and presented it to a grand jury. On Monday, the grand jury said there was enough probable cause for Ball's arrest.

Deputies arrested Ball at his business in Southport. He's charged with first degree murder.

I don’t believe that he is really the type of person that would do something like this. The courts will really have to have a strong case for me to believe any of this. I know Todd and his family. He was raised in a Christian home and would never do this! Maybe they are blaming him because they don’t have anyone else to put this on. They of course don’t want another unsolved murder case.

If he had got caught when he did it he would probably be out of prison by now. Oh BTW isn’t there an increasing number of women killing husbands and children?

Yet another husband accused of killing the wife. This is becoming a disease all over this country. I am still in awe over the number of occurences that are happening here in the south in such a short period of time.
