Arsonist Torching Florida’s Largest State Forest

Florida Santa Rosa County  A $6000 reward is being offered for information that leads to the arrest and conviction of an arsonist wanted for destroying nearly 200 acres of the Blackwater River State Forest.

A $6,000 reward is being offered for information that leads to the arrest and conviction of an arsonist wanted for destroying nearly 200 acres of the Blackwater River State Forest.

The most recent fire, set January 23rd, consumed 90 acres and threatening several residences near Big Red Road and Sellersville Road, north of the Munson community.

“We need help finding the person(s) responsible for these fires, which have destroyed nearly 200 acres,” said Ben Wolcott, Operations Administrator for Blackwater District.

Arson is a felony, punishable by 5 years in jail and/or a $5,000 fine.

why would anyone want to do something like this? destroy so much in such a violent way. i hope they catch them soon.
