PENSACOLA, Florida - Fire officials are investigating an apartment complex fire that sent one woman to the hospital. They say it happened around 11 o'clock Friday night at a complex on Stonebrook Drive. That's in the Ferry Pass community near Pensacola. Firefighters arrived to a fire in the kitchen of one of the units. Neighbors reported there were still people inside. After a brief search they found a 25-year-old woman on the floor of the apartment suffering from a heart attack.Fire officials say the woman was transported to Sacred Heart Hospital and is listed in critical condition. Her name has not been released.
According to firefighters, the unit did have a fire alarm, but it did not activate. The fire is still under investigation.
