GULF BREEZE, Fla. (AP) - People from all over visit NorthwestFlorida in the hopes of seeing the unexplained -- a UFO.
Santa Rosa County Commissioner John Broxson says he saw a UFO
flying above his yard 20 years ago. Another resident wrote three
books about his alleged alien abductions and sightings.
But skeptics claim it's either a hoax or something from nearby
Eglin Air Force Base that spectators are seeing.
Either way, reported sightings have placed Gulf Breeze on the
map for alien fans. Even businesses took advantage. Club 51, an
adult-entertainment club, was originally called Area 51. And UFO
motors was a used-car dealership that operated in Midway for
several years.
Nearby Pensacola even hosted the International UFO Symposium in
1990.
