TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (AP) - The state now has five confirmed casesand 16 probable cases of swine flu.
The Florida Department of Health said Monday that a 7-year-old
boy is the second confirmed Lee County case and a 24-year-old man
in Pinellas County also has the flu. The department previously
announced cases in Lee, Broward and Orange counties.
The department also said there are five probable cases in
Hillsborough County, three probable cases in Miami-Dade County, two
in Palm Beach County and one each in Alachua, Lee, Charlotte,
Indian River Okeechobee and Clay counties.
Meanwhile, some Florida schools are closed while health
officials monitor the cases.
