4,300 Without Power In Santa Rosa County

Florida Pace  Thousands of residents in Pace Florida are in the dark after a piece of a substation catches fire.

Thousands of neighbors in Pace, Florida are without power and could be for several hours. According to Gulf Power, 4300 residents of Pace could be in the dark until at least 8:30 p.m. tonight.

They say a piece of a substation malfunctioned and caught fire around 12:30 p.m. Sunday afternoon. Gulf Power crews are working to restore power to residents by sectionalizing and using alternate power sources.

Gulf Power says no one was hurt in the incident.
