TAMPA, Fla. (AP) - A Tampa man is behind bars after police say
he tortured a 10-year-old relative because she found his stash of
pornographic movies.
Tampa Police say they received an anonymous tip that 36-year-old
Moslim Al Assadi tied the girl's hands behind her back and forced
her into a partially filled bathtub where he dunked her head under
water several times. The girl's siblings watched the incident. They
said she turned blue while being dunked in the water.
Tampa police detectives along with child protection
investigators went to the home Thursday and removed the victim and
two other children.
Police say Al Assadi has been investigated on child abuse
allegations two other times, but each time investigators cleared
him of any wrongdoing. He is charged with aggravated child abuse.

Why do people do such horrible things. This is so sad.  There is simply no morals and feelings for others.  It is all about being as mean as you can. Why? There is no excuse for this type of behaviour.  Why can’t we simply ship these kind of horrible people to a country where they could be punished by the people. Stone them…

Deputies went to Oak Grove Elementary School to interview the children, who again spoke of spankings, slappings and the oldest daughter’s submersion. “She said that she recalls telling someone about this before but told them she was lying because she (did) not want her father taken away,” police wrote. “She said she knows what he did was wrong. He told her he loved her no matter what she did.”

Call the state. Attorney General or call the state DHR offices. Keep calling until you talk to more than just a supervisor. Do you know any cops personally? The thing is, they usually know it’s happening. They know what is going on in their area.

AND THIS IS WHY I, and I am a social worker, belive that Law Enforcement should be in charge of investigating. IT"S A CRIME and we have social workers and “case managers” doing the so called investigation. LE has criminal investigation training. I only knew about evidence because I was in LE first. DHR does not focus on criminal prosecution! Ughghghghg

Shealeigh, can you talk to the child. Most children don’t know there is an adult they can trust. If this child is being abuse don’t stop trying to help him, he needs someone to care, I KNOW how it feels.

I have called the police, they say call DHR.  It is a boy, his adopted father is the one that I believe is doing it.  He was once a foster parent and I believe the adopted mother knows it is happening.  When I confronted her, she just passes it off.

Shealeigh, keep calling them. Give them all the information you have. Call the state level and ask to speak to a investigator supervisor. Go to the top. If you don’t feel that they have done their job, call the District Attorney. Call the police, then call the State Attorney General’s office.

is this her fther and if not where is the parents

Have you tried calling the police when it is happening?

This is sad that someone is not doing there job and keep letting people like him get away.  What can be done about this.  I know someone getting abused but becuase I can’t prove it DHR won’t even investigate.  People in charge to help these kids (DHR) don’t care.
