Amendment 1?  Schools - they just keep getting rid of school board chairmans now another idiot that can’t manage money?  Get rid of all of them and start over with qualified people. What is wrong with this city?  Does every other city and schools have the same problem as us? Sports - Riverwalk?  Fix the problems already out there don’t just create more problems?

Like many others if we had GAMBLING OR LOTTO our system wouldn’t be in the crisis I don’t think. But, can you tell that to the BIBLE BELT why NO! But, there the ones you see at the dog track, casino’s or BINGO! Its all just a crazy as Mobile always has been…If you sit at a desk you make $13 an hour, if you work out in the heat in the middle of the summer your lucky to get $10 an hour. ANYONE can do any job if there trained to do it right!

The school board nor the City of Mobile know how to manage a budget.  The school board laid off many many people, stopped different bus routes, etc., to supposedly save money.  Where did this money go? Then you have the mayor and city council vote to throw thousands of dollars out the window for one football game. The city is more worried about athletics than our children learning to read and write. It would be different if every child in the system went into sports and made millions of dollars a year because they would not need to have an education as you can tell by how most athletes talk when they are being interviewed.  Of course, apparently you do not have to have an education to be on the city council either so that’s apparently why they care more for sports than our children getting educated. Fire the “school board” and let parents elect a teacher from each school to be a volunteer board member to vote on things each month. Each year elect a different teacher or in 6 months.

They keep dancing around the subject of borrowing the money but never explaining it to the public if they might have to raise taxes at some point to pay it back. Doesn’t anyone on the mobile county school board know how to manage a budget or how to create one ? Time is running out,if they want amendment one to pass they better get some one to step forward and explain it better to the public and answer a few questions. Or maybe they don’t want to answer any questions about it?
