Pensacola Little Theatre is setting the stage for a collision of wildly differing lifestyles in the musical-comedy “La Cage aux Folles.”
In the show, a young couple who plan to wed want their parents to meet. The bride-to-be’s father is a conservative politician. The groom’s dad runs a gay nightclub and lives with his longtime partner. If the story sounds familiar, you may have seen the recent hit film “The Birdcage.” Both the film and musical were inspired by the award-winning French film, also called “La Cage aux Folles.”
Performances are June 13, 14, 20, 21, 27, 28 at 8pm.
Sunday matinees are performed June 15, 22, 29 at 2:30pm.
