Two Mobile gas stations are going green. Ford's Fuels celebrated the grand openings of the stations, which supply E85 ethanol and B20 biodiesel, on Airport Road and Government Boulevard.

E85, 85% ethanol mixed with 15% unleaded gasoline, can be used in flex-fuel vehicles and costs about 60-cents less than regular gas.

Many flex-fuel drivers say they get fewer miles to the gallon, but most insist it's worth it to pump a product from the Mid West instead of the Middle East.

"This country has to have it," says Alabama Governor Bob Riley, who came to Mobile to help promote the alternative fuels.

"We have to get off our dependence of Middle Eastern oil," says Brandon O'Donnell, who we caught up with filling up his truck.

The new gas stations are part of what will soon be the longest "Clean Corridor" in the country. When the project is finalized, drivers will be able to fill up their tank with bio-fuel from Mobile to Gary, Indiana. "Flexible fuel vehicle and diesel vehicle owners will never be farther than a 1/4 of a tank away from an E85 or biodiesel pump along I-65," according to the Alabama Clean Fuels Coalition.
