LONDON (AP) - Surprise singing sensation Susan Boyle has struckagain.
She made a return appearance on the TV show "Britain's Got
Talent," showcasing once again her soaring voice -- but refusing
to compromise on the frumpy look that made her an Internet
sensation.
The shy church volunteer gave a rousing, if occasionally
nervous, rendition of the song "Memory" from the Andrew Lloyd
Webber musical "Cats." During her first appearance, Boyle wowed
the crowd with her performance of "I Dreamed a Dream" from "Les
Miserables."
Members of the public voting in a telephone poll picked Boyle as
the best of eight performers who appeared today, meaning she will
sing again in the contest's final next Saturday.
Producers said Boyle's appearance would be posted on the
Internet almost immediately, after about 60 million people watched
her last performance via YouTube.
