Is anyone else disappointed with the outcome tonight? I was, and I would like to know if they tried to work things out, did they try counseling or did they just QUIT? I would never say stay in a marriage because of the kids, or stay in a marriage where there is abuse-but I think today’s society throws up their hands and say “I quit,” way too often. Nothing worth having is easy and doesn’t require work and sacrifice. Just not seeing it here…

lol-smason. Let’s hope not. I can see the wrong both of them do. I just think that in their run for fame and fortune, it makes it 1000x worse than what it would possibly be without the glare of spotlights. That is why I think they need to GET OUT of the spotlight, work on their marriage, and family. If it is still unbearable, in the privacy of their home/family-then make the decision to get counseling or split.

I don’t think Kate suddenly became this nagging wench, or that Jon suddenly became this guy with a “no care” attitude and slacker around the house. Those traits are ingrained. Really, how many women get married thinking they are going to “change” someone-doesn’t happen. (If only I could get my husband to pick up his clothes and put his dishes in the SINK-lol). But you make that decision going into it(marriage),that these are things you can live with, or you don’t go into. Aren’t we always told to look at how they live with their parents(or alone),because that’s the way they are going to live with you?

Actually, I heard the ratings went DOWN, to the first year levels, after the season opening this year. No amount of money is worth sacrificing your marriage and family. IF they(the Gosslins and TLC) truly care about the welfare of THE FAMILY, then to heck with the contract and perks.Give them time to heal out of the spotlight, and follow up in a year or so.If the end result is still a split household, then at least they will have the peace they TRIED to work it out, without being constantly photographed while doing so.

Amen to that rmseek.  I mean seriously having a family is hard on most all couples but can you imagine having 8 children all at once…..  The strain has to be unbelieveable.  Add to that you have tv camera recording your family and how you and your spouse deal with everyday stress, it has got to be compounded.  I hope for the sake of the children and the sake of their marriage they will take some time away from the public eye and see if they can find what was once there.

I hope the decision is to break the contract, work on their family, and stop this train wreck.
