BANGKOK (AP) - Police in Thailand say it's "unclear" whether
actor David Carradine died accidentally or committed suicide.
They say the American was found yesterday "naked, hanging in a
closet" with a rope tied to his neck and genitals. They had
originally suspected suicide, but now say the death may have been
caused by accidental suffocation.
People who knew Carradine say he wouldn't have deliberately
killed himself. No suicide note has been found in the actor's
Bangkok hotel suite.
His management company says Carradine was in Thailand to work on
an action film and had several other projects lined up after that.
A spokeswoman also says the 72-year-old was in good spirits when he
left the U.S. last week.
Autopsy results aren't expected for weeks.
