LOS ANGELES (AP) - Hackers have broadcast bogus information about celebrities including Britney Spears and Ellen DeGeneres
after breaking into their Twitpic accounts.

The Internet messaging system shut down part of its service after the hacking was discovered Sunday because of what the
Charleston, S.C.-based company described as a "vulnerability" in the mobile posting system.

Twitpic Inc. said to disregard a message from Spears' account that incorrectly said the singer had died, and they were
"implementing a fix immediately."

Twitpic is a program that allows users of Twitter to share photographs. It is not owned by Twitter Inc.

Emails to Noah Winecoff at Twitpic and the press office at San Francisco-based Twitter were not immediately returned Sunday.

Yeah there have been multiple cases of people signing onto the twitter accounts posing as someone else. All you have to do is find a pic of the person on the internet and post messages as them. Plus you should never believe something you read the first time. Really should not believe it until it comes from the horses mouth. Although I am sure all are guilty at one time of doing just the opposite.

Some of these people who have nothing to do (i.e. they don’t have jobs) need to find something constructive to do rather but out bogus information and hack into accounts.  Maybe Obama can find jobs for them.
