Foley police have arrested a man they say broke into people's homes while they slept.

For the past few months, Chief David Wilson has asked teams of officers to patrol neighborhoods on foot, late at night, in hopes of catching the busy burglar. The hard work finally paid off this weekend.

An officer spotted 21-year-old Daniel Wilson running through a neighborhood around 3:00 a.m. Sunday. Police set up a perimeter and brought in a K-9 cop. The dog tracked Wilson to a wooded area just north of Michigan Avenue. When police took him into custody, Wilson was not wearing a shirt or shoes.

During questioning, police say Wilson confessed to two burglaries -- January 10: home on Hamilton Avenue, April 25: home on Tradewind Court. Wilson is also accused of breaking into cars as well.

Wilson is charged with two felony counts of burglary.

News 5 did a little digging and discovered Wilson has been arrested at least 12 times on burglary and theft charges since 2004.

Alabama needs a three strike law for people just like this guy.  Three times and you will be in for life.  I also think we need to make our jails like the ones in New Mexico.  Let them live in old army tents in a big fenced in area.  They want to act like animals treat them like animals.

Twelve times??? Why dont we have a cap on these kinds of things? Just let him slip right through the judicial system a dozen times, that’ll teach him! For all of the people who believe that judicial systems are bias for whites, and who believe that Blacks get treated worse, need only read this article to see that this kind of thinking is unfounded and completely based on hollow intelligence.
