The News 5 Crime Solutions Task Force is investigating how to stop juvenile crime and we want you to take part.
A town hall meeting will be held Wednesday, May 7th, at the Headquarters on Sage Avenue. It starts at 6:30 p.m.
This is your chance to ask the Mobile Police Department, Mobile County Sheriff's Office, and Juvenile Court Judge Edmond Naman questions about teenagers committing crimes and what we as a community can do to stop it.

We have a second...motion carried...Shock therapy it is!!

Let’s get it on!!

I’m Fartman and I approve this message.

Ok, I hear a lot about birth control and “butt whippin”, but what about these kid’s feeling’s after the “butt whippin”??  You people are so cruel and insensitive about how these little juvenile delinquents feel.  Come on people, have a heart!

Na...just kidding...who care’s how they feel..whip that a$$!

I still say shock therapy is the way to go…

I like the birth control solution and corporal punishment. Too many folks are accidentally having children they cannot afford and have no business trying to raise.

There should be absolutely no reason a parent cannot paddle their child. The schools should have the right to do the same. Schools and lawenforcement are wasting too many resources when a simple butt wippen will do the trick. It is hard to grasp a child going to jail for the same kind of stuff adults did when they were their age. Back then a paddling did the trick. No need for handcuffs, court dates, lawyers and ruined records for life. Prevention (butt wippen) before apprehension for all children.

Ware their butts out!  That’s what kept me straight. My mother taught me manners and respect for my elders.  Disipline and parents taking resposibility is what we need.

Stick them in the corner for a timeout like my wife does to me when I act up...it really works.  When I’m in the corner, I see things on the wall that need to be done, like touch up paint, maybe hang a picture near the corner, stuff like that.

If that doesn’t work, well, may I suggest shock therapy.  If for nothing else, to see someone foam at the mouth is great video for the internet.

you want to stop the crime put a belt on their tailends and make the punishment fit the crime and quit being bleeding heart liberals. i so sick and tired of hearing “i don’t know what to do”.  go back to the days when children had respect for their parents and you will see were the use of a belt had importance and the law respect a parents right to punish their child the way they seen fit.  pray, parents, and paddling is the answer not a judge and a slap on the wrist or sending them off to learn better criminal ways!!!!

I could say I told you so, But I want.  Make the parents legally and financialy responsible for what their kids do! Think about it.
