Police arrested Antonio Silliano for identity theft, and booked him in to the county jail with men, but he is really a she.
Silliano, makes a living scamming people, even tricking women into marrying who they believed was a man.
Silliano's victims are not surprised that the jailer couldn't tell Silliano wasn't a man. They're not surprised because Silliano even fooled women into marriage not knowing he was really a woman.
When Silliano's ex-wife found out that he was actually a female, the couple had already married. She says Silliano threatened her against leaving so they stayed together 4 years.
Sheriff's spokesperson Steve Shular says an investigation is underway.
According to Shular, "It's certainly one of those reminders that anytime you have somebody that comes in, even if they look like a man, and the document says they're a man, then you need to make sure they're a man."
