UNC Student Body President Tried To Shield Herself

RALEIGH, N.C. (AP) - An autopsy report released today concludes
that University of North Carolina student body president Eve Carson
tried to shield herself with her hand as she was shot five times,
including at least two blasts to the head.
Carson's body was found in March on a street not far from the
campus in Chapel Hill.
Prosecutors have charged two young Durham men with first-degree
murder in the case.
The autopsy report had been completed weeks ago but was sealed
until today. Prosecutors say it shows both a handgun and a shotgun
were used in the attack. They are searching for the weapons.
In court documents released last week, authorities say a
confidential informant told police that the suspects entered
Carson's home through an open door and took her to an ATM. They
ended up withdrawing about $1,400 over two days.
The informant also said that both suspects shot Carson.

And this is one of those times when you CAN blame the victim. I’m a pretty young lady and I know better than to be home alone with the DOOR OPEN. Sometimes tragic things happen. Most of the time, tragedy can be avoided. I’m not saying she was “asking for it” or that she deserved what happens, god knows she didn’t, but when you make yourself a target, things like this happen.

I can not believe you are making it out like it is her fault a bunch of thugs decided to break in and rob and kill her. I am sure that is what she was hoping would happen. Another example of what is wrong with this country when you blame the victims.

KxVx on , in college it means you are smart and it helps to be pretty, when i was in school, class president meant leadership. homecoming queen meant popularity. she made a mistake but guess what she paid for it with her life.

Class president doesn’t mean you’re smart, it means you’re popular. How long has it been since you were in school? I think this whole thing is horrible, but she LEFT HER DOOR OPEN. Not just unlocked…OPEN. Doesn’t sound like a smart girl to me!
