arrested for allegedly threatening to kill his parents and
enlisting a classmate's help.
Trinity Police Chief Chris McLemore says an eighth-grader was
angry with his parents when he boarded a school bus Thursday to the
Morgan County Learning Center. A bus aide overheard him threaten to
stab his parents and ask a classmate to burn down the house to
cover the crime. She reported the incident to authorities.
Police charged the teen with conspiracy to commit murder and
took him to a juvenile detention center in Tuscumbia. He also faces
additional discipline from the center, an alternative school.
Police did not arrest the other teen because he did not respond
to his classmate's request.
