Anthony Hopkins was a traveling minister.Short URL: http://wkrg.com/a/16384/
He preached at several churches in Southwest Alabama.
Monday night, he was arrested after giving a sermon at a church in Jackson.
Hopkins and seven of his children were there as part of a revival at the Inspirational Tabernacle Church of God in Christ.
Evangelist Beverly Jackson said hopkins told her the reason he was a single parent was because his wife had died four years ago while giving birth to their son.
Monday night he preached about forgiveness and even turned to his children asking them to forgive him.
"He said, I asked my children this morning to forgive me for the past, the present, and the future you know. He said you know that's one thing you have to keep yourself clear. If you think you did anything or assumed you did anything, you need to ask forgiveness," said Evangelist Beverly Jackson.
