MARYVILLE, Ill. (AP) - Authorities say an Illinois pastor is
dead after a gunman shot him during Sunday services.
They say the suspect spoke briefly to the minister before
opening fire. The gun jammed before he could fire again.
Illinois Master Trooper Ralph Timmins says the suspect stabbed
himself as bystanders wrestled him to the ground. At least two
people were wounded in the struggle.
Timmins says officials don't know if the pastor and the suspect
knew each other. Another minister at the church says he didn't
recognize the gunman.
Officials say the gunman was flown to a hospital in St. Louis.
His condition was not immediately known.
The attack occurred at First Baptist Church in Maryville, about
20 miles north east of St. Louis.

cmb1, i agree with you.

Sad, Sad when you have to go God’s house and kill someone.  We all need to pray for our country and also the pastors family.

GREAT! - You asked how many on AMERICAN SOIL.  America consist of North America and South America.  Some also include land owned or controlled by countries and government of the Americas.  Thus, Hawaii, despite not being a state at that time, was and is AMERICAN SOIL.

By the way, I never said I was a History Major.  I said we studied history is school.  I didn’t say college.

This was your response to me asking how many died on American soil. You claim to be a history major but you don’t even know that Hawaii didn’t become a state until 1959.
Didn’t know this was a contest either. just that you keep spewing nonsense and i keep calling you on it. If idiots are winners then I concede that you are the winner.

GREAT1 - I gave you the facts.  Now I am an America hater because I gave some facts.  Man you really need to go back to bed and get up on the right side of the bed this time.  I won.  I proved my points.  You lost.  You run.  You scared.  Me brave.  YEEEHAWWWW!  It was more dangerous to live in the US in the 1940s. I proved it.  You say I hate America because I said America is better and safer today.  I don’t hate America.  I hate the stupid Americans that use that “you hate America” bit every time they can’t win.  You had ONE SHOT.  You took you ONE SHOT.  I win.

Where are your facts to back this up? It sounds to me like you hate America. Why don’t you find a new country to live in if you don’t like this one.

How many took place on American soil?

In World War II between 50 and 100 million were killed.  I call that dangerous.  I am taking history in school.  We covered WWII right after Christmas break.  The war, crime, diseases such as polio and malaria were epidemic in places.  A dangerous world in deed.

Gay Power Says: Mon, Mar 09, 2009 at 12:25 am Actually, it is not really any more dangerous out there than it has been for thousands of years.  Want to talk about being dangerous out there.  What about the early 1940s.  Now that was a dangerous time in history.  It is not really more dangerous, just more ways for us to find out about the dangers that have always been there.

How do you know it was just as dangerous in the 1940s?
