A Mobile police officer spotted a wrecked car around 11:50 Monday night while on patrol. The red, 2006 Dodge Charger had hit a tree in the area of Spring Hill and Lyons Park Avenues.

The driver, 36-year-old Issac Grove had been shot.

Homicide detectives are now trying to determine who shot Grove and why.
