more than $1 million bail for a man charged with killing his wife
on Father's Day, but the man's son does not want him to be
released.
Michael Ross of Foley said he fears for himself and his two
brothers after a judge reduced 68-year-old David Mumford's bond to $107,500. Terms of release include electronic monitoring
and Mumford must remain in his Foley home except for doctor and
lawyer visits.
The 22-year-old Ross has temporary custody of his brothers, ages
12 and 15. He expressed concern that his father would try to come
after them.
Circuit Judge Charles Partin reduced the bail after Mumford
testified that spending time in jail was straining his heart
condition.
He hadn't posted bail as of Friday morning.

Fathers Day Murder in Foley

I also know this man and I can not believe what I am reading!!!! His wife was a wonderful woman! And it was such a great loss..
I agree, but no matter what kind of death this man suffers, it will never be painful enough! He deserves to rot!
I am so proud of Ross for stepping up and taking care of his brothers.
But to even think of letting this nutt case out on bond! What was that Judge thinking! If it is due to overcrowding, let ANYBODY out!!! Just keep this mean, heartless man a spot on the floor!
My prayers and thoughts are with all the people who were hurt by his actions!
Oh, and an electric chair would not be painful enough..
