four Mississippi death row inmates who claimed the state's method
of lethal injection is unconstitutional because it could cause
pain.
The inmates, including one scheduled to die next week, wanted
U.S. District Judge W. Allen Pepper to issue an injunction that
would block any executions in the state.
Pepper on Tuesday, however, dismissed the lawsuit on several
grounds, including statute of limitations arguments.
Attorney General Jim Hood says the ruling clears the way for Dale Leo Bishop's execution, scheduled for July 23. Bishop's attorneys filed a motion Monday labeled "urgent and necessitous," urging the judge to halt executions.(Copyright 2008 by The Associated Press. All Rights Reserved.)

Do the crime pay the price. The State of Mississippi does not put shoplifters on Death Row. I do believe that while in a controlled enviroment, SOME PRISONERS can be rehabilitated to a degree but that does not ERASE OR FORGIVE the crime they have committed. Everytime I turn on my television I see where someone has shot someone else, or beat the crap out of someone for a $10 piece of crack or $25 so that they can go and buy their crack or drug of choice. I am so tired of the O K CORRAL mentality that these punks think they live in, we are suppose to be civilized human beings not barbaric animals who if they don’t get their way kill their prey. COMMITT THE CRIME, PAY THE PRICE.
