Prichard police have arrested two women for trying to a check cashing store where one of them use to work.
The clerk at the DIP Check Exchange at 4516 St. Stephens Road told police 28-year-old Crystal Williams walked into the store at 9:15 Tuesday morning, demanded money and fired three shots. The clerk refused to give her any cash and she took off.A short time later, police spotted Williams on Old Citronelle Road. They say she was carrying the gun used in the attempted robbery.
During the investigation, police learned Williams had an accomplice. They arrested 26-year-old Crystal White of Mobile around 2:15 p.m. Both are charged with attempted robbery.
