Pensacola man says his girlfriend tried to burn his house down “Fire Fight”

Kelvin Johnson had a rough Thursday morning. He says he had no idea a fight with his girlfriend would end like this! Johnson says after his intoxicated girlfriend pushed his television out the front door, she dumped his clothes out on the lawn.

"She threw it out and tried to hit me with it! It's got wheels on the bottom and she pushed it out and tried to hit me with it," says Johnson. "It looks like she poured bleach all over them!"

But that was just the beginning of Johnson's troubles. Johnson says his girlfriend then torched his bedroom and tried to burn his house down!

"I got kids, you know? Try to do things for them for Christmas, my money, everything burned up in there.

Johnson says he's upset, but in keeping with the spirit of the holiday season, he says he forgives her.

"I forgive her, it's cool because by me being angry with her or whatever, it ain't going to bring nothing back, that ain't going to fix nothing so we're supposed to forgive and everybody does something wrong sometime. It's messed up, I'm not going to lie and say I ain't mad!"

Johnson's girlfriend, Latressa Jackson, was arrested at the scene of the fire. Meanwhile, Johnson says he'll spend the weekend trying to clean up the mess and will try to contact the Red Cross for help.
