Santa Rosa County Sheriff’s Investigators are investigating a homicide that occurred on Lewis Road in Milton last night.

Shortly after 8:30 pm on September 30, deputies were dispatched to 3290 Lewis Road in Milton in reference to a medical emergency call. Family members of the 86 year old female victim (identified as Bonnie Lewis) arrived at the above listed location and found Lewis slumped over in a chair in her living room.

When deputies arrived, they found that Lewis was deceased and the apparent victim of a homicide. Investigators are not releasing any information concerning the evidence that was located or the apparent cause of death.

Lewis lived at the residence alone. Although they are not releasing details due to the nature of the investigation, investigators do not believe that Lewis was the victim of a random act of violence.

Investigators have conducted numerous interviews; however an arrest has not been made. Investigators will continue to pursue leads and investigate this case and more information will be released as it becomes available. No other information will be released at this time.
