KALAMAZOO, Mich. (AP) - "Daddy, don't steal." That's themessage a Michigan man has to wear for months. Daniel Cleland is
being ordered by a Kalamazoo County judge to write those words on
his hand or arms for seven months. Cleland told the judge his
6-year-old gave him the advice. The kid's recommendation of
"`Daddy, don't steal" sounds good to the judge, too. Cleland now
avoids seven months in jail on a charge of felony retail fraud.
