3:20 p.m.
- Police say 27-year-old Jeffrey Jones pushed the teller, grabbed an undisclosed amount of money and took off.
- Jones hid in the attic of an apartment on Emogene Street. He was arrested after falling through the ceiling
- Police also recovered the money from the robbery.
- Jones was charged with Federal Bank Robbery and transported to Mobile County Metro Jail.

11:20 a.m.
Mobile police have arrested a man accused of robbing the Compass Bank on Bel-Air Boulevard.

The robbery happened just before 11:00 a.m. Police arrested the suspect at the intersection of Florida and Emogene Streets.

LOL @ cmb1, this is AMERICA, no one get’s life in prison anymore. He’ll get a 25 year-split. Which means he’ll probably be out in about 6 years.

It would have saved this guy a lot of grief, if he had just gone to the Senate and asked for a bailout. You don’t even need a gun in that place to rob the tax payers.

Things like this are the exact reason I moved from Mobile.Everytime I turned on the tv or radio there was a robbery,a rape, a shooting,a carjacking,etc…. I was scared for my life and my family. It`s so nice to now live in a place with 99.5% of the same race and 1% crime VS.46% in Mobile. I visit wkrg.com to always remind me why I moved from such a horrible place. It`s sad to look at the place where I grew up that is now infested with drugs and gangs.Mobile was such a nice place years ago,it`s so sad!

Robbing is just out of control!!!!!!!!!!! Don’t this idiots know they are going to be caught? Life in prison. I can think of alot better ways to get money its called a JOB.
