There are certain details of Katherine Foster's death that'll never leave 82-year-old Alfred Webb.“She was laid out there, just like she was ready to go into the coffin,” says Webb. He’s a retired lieutenant from the Mobile Police Department. He was the head of the criminal investigation division when the 18-year-old USA student was found dead.
“I was hoping someday that they would arrest somebody, and even if she's not the one, somebody else may come into the picture also now,’ says Webb. Jamie Letson was arrested on murder charges Friday. He says he's sure the suspect couldn't have done it alone
“Where would she keep her at?” asks Webb. “Where would she take her, put her in a dormitory room for two days? I don't think she could do it.” He says whoever killed Katherine foster knew what they were doing.
“They uh picked out a place they were going to lay her where they were going to find her, because all of them was going to get together and comb them woods out there,” says Webb. He says this murder scared him. Years later, he says he'd only let his daughter attend the University of South Alabama if she commuted.
