LITTLETON, Ala. (AP) - Etowah County Sheriff Todd Entrekin saysremains found in a freezer in a home in the Littleton Community are
believed to be those of a teenager last seen in March.
A 19-year-old and a 22-year-old are in custody and expected to
be charged Wednesday in the murder of 15-year-old Jeffrey Blake
Stone.
Stone was last seen March 24. Entrekin said a lead pointed them
to a shallow grave on a logging road Tuesday afternoon. He said
evidence at that site led them to a home on Littleton Cutoff Road,
not far from where Stone lived.
Entrekin said it appears the boy was killed and buried in the
shallow grave and was moved within the last week to a chest-type
freezer in the home. Forensic experts will have to confirm the
identity of the remains.
