Police need your help to identify the man seen in the surveillance photos on the right.

According to the Santa Rosa County Sheriff's Office, he walked into the Advance America Cash Loans on Navarre Parkway around 9:30 Tuesday morning, pointed a gun at the employee and demanded everything in the register.

After getting his loot, the man ran out the door and jumped in a red, Jeep SUV, possibly a Cherokee, with dark tinted windows.

The suspect is a 5'8", clean shaven, white male, in his mid 30’s. He was last seen wearing jeans, a flannel shirt with hooded sweatshirt underneath, sunglasses and a baseball cap.

Anyone with information about the suspect’s identity is asked to call the Santa Rosa County Sheriff’s Office at 850.983.1190 or Crime Stoppers at 850.437.STOP.

Please please please, if you own a retail business, invest in a video surveillance system that creates pictures/video worth a dang. Hardly a week goes by that you don’t see a photo or video of a criminal that looks like it was taken on a cell phone or worse. In this case I can tell it’s a man, but that’s about it. The technology has become much less expensive these days and could end up helping catch all kinds of criminals. No reason not to have full blown digital video especially since hard drives are getting cheaper by the second.
