LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (AP) - Police in Little Rock, Ark., say anintruder attacked a popular TV anchorwoman in her home and left her
with life-threatening injuries.
Police say KATV anchor Anne Pressly, 26, was found by her mother
at about 4:30 a.m. Monday. Police spokeswoman Cassandra Davis says
Pressly was found lying in her bed and bleeding from "severe
wounds." She was non-responsive.
A hospital spokeswoman didn't return a call regarding her
condition.
Davis says the attack may have come during a robbery, because
Pressly's purse was missing. There are no suspects.
Davis said Pressly's mother gives her daughter a wake-up call
and went to the house Monday when Pressly didn't answer.
Pressly anchors a 5 a.m. broadcast for KATV, an ABC affiliate.
