usaengalum , no i am no family friend, i have been following this from the beginning. i pay attention unlike you. i knew the story. i also saw just by reviewing the tape, the sheriffs dept was there also. i knew what alexandera was alex just by reading the story and the ticket. so unlike you i knew. i ask devons aunt questions before i say. she is online, as you know by now. so if you will read and quit assuming you might learn something.

Wow rosepetal.  It sounds more like you are a family friend than an innocent bystander in this discussion.  Vested interest sort of explains some of the slant you have been giving. 

Southfan -  That was the changes I wanted to see made.  Where we learn from this and keep something like this from happening with all young drivers ever again.

KVX I think you bring up a very good point regarding a youthful driver, speeding and their license. If there are not statutes on the books, perhaps this is a good reason to look at putting limitations on kids. Although, I understand a ticket is not guilt, I think the license should be provisional up to a certain age. If you have been without citations at that time, then you are granted normal privileges. Being ticketed for traveling that far above the speed limit indicates that 16 year old is not responsible enough to operate a vehicle. Also, I think parents should be called immediately just to make sure the kid does not pay the fine and neglect to inform the parents of their offense. A 16 year old is not independent in most circumstances, their parents should be informed.

devon’s aunt , well i am so sorry to hear that, i knew she was having a hard time no doubt. but please tell both her and the girls parents we are thinking about them. if anything i can do and am able drop a line.

rosepetal-my sister would be doing better if she wasn’t having stress/anxiety induced seizures every time she turns around. I’m not sure how Tasha’s parents are, but I’m sure they are having a hard time too.

I want to know how a driver that has been licensed for less than a month can get a ticket going 107 and not lose her license!?
