injured a 7-year-old girl in Mobile.
Police said the girl was taken to the USA Children's and Women's Hospital after being hit in the
leg by a stay bullet around 2:30 a.m. on Fairmont Street.
Police spokeswoman Jacqueline Bridgeforth said Thursday the
girl's injuries were minor. The girl's name was not made public.
Mobile police said they received 119 calls about shots being
fired Wednesday night and early Thursday morning. That was down
from 188 complaints a year ago.
Bridgeforth said police arrested Daniel Jeffrey early Thursdaymorning for discharging an AK-47 into the air. None of his bullets hit the little girl.
Five Year Old Girl Fires Gun

primate502002, I agree with most of what you said except ——“an ak-47 is only a hunting rifle unless it has been modified to fire automatically which requires a federal firearms permit to own.”
__
1st: An AK-47 does NOT require any modification in order to be a fully automatic, only a flip of the switch.
2nd:I’ve hunted for 23 years, and I do not know ANYONE who uses a AK-47 to hunt with. 90% of those which are owned, are owned by non-licensed individuals, who do not intend to hunt or do any other LEGAL activities.
3rd: If you or anyone you know is using an AK-47 to hunt with, please inform us others so that we can be sure to stay at least half a mile away from that area. To hunt with such a high-powered rifle in the State of Alabama, or most of the other Continental States is completely unnecessary.
