STUART, Fla. (AP) - The owner of a Sunoco gas station onFlorida's east coast says someone stole nearly $4,000 worth of gas
from her station.
The station owner told Martin County Sheriffs on Tuesday that
sometime between 9 a.m. Monday and 10 a.m. Tuesday someone made off
with 988 gallons of premium unleaded fuel. The fuel was worth
$3,952 and the shortage was discovered when computers showed a
large amount of fuel missing.
The owner told deputies that she feared that someone had
breached the locks on the fuel pumps and may do it again.
