Melted Bead Art

Mardi Gras Beads We all know recycling is a good idea but sometimes it takes creative thinking...which is how a Gulf Coast lady recycles Mardi Gras beads!

Roben Barrett has figured out a way to turn plain old Mardi Gras beads into very colorful art. Her specialties are bowls, lamps, trays, and masks. She won't share all her secret process, but it does involve melting the beads to a certain stage and shaping them. She says that some beads always change color as she heats them so she's never quite sure how her next creation will look.

Happy Mardi Gras! I enjoyed the segment about the Mardi Gras bead art and would like to purchase an item from Mrs. Barrett. Could you please let me know how to contact her to purchase items?

Thanks very much
