WASHINGTON (AP) - A media watchdog group is warning that some video games for sale this holiday fall firmly into the naughty rather than nice category. The National Institute on Media and the Family is out with its 12th annual video-game report card. And it lists 10 games that parents should strike off their gift lists if buying for kids under 17. All of the games are rated "M" and above by the ESRB, an industry-led ratings board.

The media group says the games include things like graphic scenes of gunshot victims spurting blood and a man urinating into a prisoner's cell.
The institute says there's evidence that nearly half of kids between the ages of 8 and 12 have played games intended for those 17 and up.

The full list of games to avoid is on the group's Web site, along with a list of recommended titles.
