American brewer Anheuser-Busch has reportedly agreed to be acquired by Belgium-based InBev for a reported 52 billion dollars.
The deal combines the maker of Budweiser and Bud Light with the
producer of Stella Artois and Beck's.
A source says InBev will pay $70 per share in the deal.
Anheuser-Busch would have representatives on the board of the
combined company, and the name would become Anheuser-Busch
InBev, the source said.
Anheuser Busch's 12 North American breweries will stay open.
An announcement is expected later.
