Some Sprint customers in Alabama may be experiencing a black-out on the service this black Friday.According to a Sprint spokesperson customers from Mobile to Montgomery may have problems using their phones.
That's because a fiber line that supports their cell phone towers has been cut.
Kristin Wallace with Sprint says the line operated by CenturyTell line was cut around 2 O'clock Friday afternoon.
Until the problem is fixed customers will find it hard to make phone calls or access other features on their phones.
Wallace says CenturyTell is in the process of fixing the line and Sprint is working on a way to bypass the problem.
Customers should still be able to make phone calls but Wallace points out "it will be hit-or-miss."
The company does not have an estimate as to when the problem will be fixed.
