Have you filled up your gas tank lately? If not, you're in for a nice surprise.
Service attendents had their hands full at Murphy USA on Moffett Road in Semmes this afternoon. Customers braved long lines to fill up their tanks at $2.93 a gallon. Many people we spoke with were relieved to see the drop in prices. And with a faltering economy, most folks agree that we can all use a break."I am really elated now that the prices are now at a more economical price range now and it's really really great for all the consumers,"Said Avery Moore. "Any reduction is certainly a relief and I think we've had what something like almost a dollar reduction in gasoline prices and that's got to help everybody,"Said Alan Kitchens. there was some talk a while back about increasing the gas tax.  i read about it. now if obama gets in he will do just like bill clinton who also promised his no more taxes and
gave us the biggest tax increase in history.

p.s. is your husbands company hiring?

Like everyone else I am thrilled to see gas prices falling.  But, I think its still sad that we must get so excited about nearly $3.00 a gallon.  That is still a big pinch for those that travel a good ways to work daily. I know my husband spends on average $100-$150 a week on gas.  That is a days worth of work! Hopefully they will continue to fall and our government won’t find reason to bring them back up again!  Now if the normal cost of living will just come down we will all be much happier.
