WASHINGTON (AP) - The new Camaro will be able to go fast -- even past a gas station. GM chief Rick Wagoner says the V-6 version of
the Camaro will get 29 miles per gallon on the highway. The high-performance SS model with a V-8 will get 25 MPG.

Wagoner made the comments in a speech in Washington yesterday. He says the fuel economy numbers were released yesterday by the U.S. Environmental
Protection Agency.

The 2010 Camaro started arriving in dealer showrooms Monday. The earlier version of the iconic muscle car stopped rolling off assembly lines in '02.

YEA!But back then you had to use all the tricks in your bag of tricks to get the attention of the girls, cars and duck tailed greased down hair and act macho.grin
times sho be a changing! Sort of like watching the mating rituals of two birds on the discovery channel, back then. LOL

Back when I was a young teen I drove a bright red Malibu SS and we did circle through quiet a few drive-in joints back in my home town.  We could scrape together 5 bucks and drive all weekend round and round! lol

If I tried to do that now, someone would call the cops!  gulp

I can see you now in that bright red convertible with the top down and making a slow troll through Krystals.A few more wrinkles and a little less hair but looking cool in that red convertible.grin
Just like in the 60s and 70s, huh?

I want a bright red convertible with the V8 package!

You know to put my stimulas back into the economy!

I guess i might go back to my younger days when my husband and I both had Camara’s. I think i might just go and buy a new black one!!!!!!!! LOL

Yep, I remember some gas wars.  I also remember when a guy would come running out of the station to pump that 30 cent gas, wash your windshield, check your oil and air up your tires.  He would then give you a free plate, or some green stamps just for spending your 5 bucks at his station.  What happened with that kind of service??????

When GM goes bankrupt, who will cover the warranty for that 2010 Camaro?

The days of GAS WARS on the causeway! 25 cent a gallon of gas or less! WHODA THUNK IT?
grin

The 350 was one solid motor and nothing can mimic the rumble coming from the dual exhaust.  Yeah, those were the days…... the days when gas was about 35 cents a gallon!  lol

Put a 350 long stroke in it and it’s sold. Those Cleveland 350s were hard to beat!
