ZEPHYRHILLS, Fla. (AP) - Authorities say a forklift operator atZephyrhills Water Company stole $50,000 worth of bottled water over
a six-week period.
Zephyrhills Police say 26-year-old Michael Gordon Fernandes and
another man who has not been arrested yet stole five truckloads of
bottled water from the company, which is a division of Nestle
Waters North America Inc.
Fernandes was arrested Saturday at work and charged with grand
theft. He told police he was paid $500 per truckload, and he did it
to help support his family. He was released after posting $10,000
bail.
Police are not saying where the water was taken because the
investigation is ongoing.
