ATHENS, Tenn. (AP) - Mayfield Dairy Farms is recallinghalf-gallon paper cartons of its Vanilla Classic Ice Cream.
The 250 units that are being recalled because there are pecans
in the product that were not listed on the label were sold in
Alabama, Mississippi, Georgia and Florida.
The pecans could pose a danger to people who are allergic to
nuts.
The containers being recalled are labeled with the date 01/30/09
and a universal product code number of 7524320144.
Officials with the Athens, Tenn.-based company said Thursday
that consumers can return the products to the place of purchase for
a full refund or exchange.
