The pain at the pump is being felt across the Gulf Coast. On Monday, the national average for a regular gallon of gas hit $4.02 for the first time ever.

The following are also record highs:

Alabama $3.889
Mobile $3.919

Florida $3.998
Pensacola $3.953

Mississippi $3.878
Biloxi/Pascagoula $3.940

AAA says those prices will likely go even higher this week thanks in part to soaring oil prices which closed up $10.75 per barrel, an all time one-day record
($138.54 per barrel).
