Alabama Power says scam artists are calling its customers trying to get their hands on your credit card information.Short URL: http://wkrg.com/a/19676/
The caller, who claims to work for Alabama Power, says you have an overdue bill and recommends using a credit card to take care of it.
In a slightly different scam, the caller says there is a problem with your credit card that needs your immediate attention and asks you to call a toll-free number.
Alabama Power says if you ever have a question about your bill, call them directly at 800.245.2244.
If you believe you have been ripped off by these scam artists, contact your local police department immediately.
