NEW YORK (AP) - Police in Long Island, N.Y. say criminal charges
may be possible in yesterday's trampling death of a Wal-Mart
worker.
Authorities are reviewing video from surveillance cameras in an
effort to see which shoppers knocked the man down as they burst
through the doors in a pre-dawn buying frenzy. A Nassau County
police spokesman admits that identifying individual shoppers may be
difficult.
An estimated 2,000 people had gathered outside the store before
its 5 a.m. opening.
Witnesses and police say other workers were trampled as they
tried to rescue the injured man, even as customers stepped over him
as he lay on the ground. At least four other people, including a
pregnant woman, were taken to hospitals for observation or
treatment of minor injuries.
The 34-year-old worker was taken to a hospital, where he was
pronounced dead around 6 a.m. The exact cause of death has not been
determined.

You are free to speak your mind here, but I do agree, someone did lose their life…..A father was lost, a brother was lost, a husband was lost, a boyfriend was lost, and a friend was lost…it is not fair to his family…Many prayers to his family…..

Someone has lost their life. The very least we can do is leave the smart remarks out of our comments.

i dont know dew, walmarts has one of the best camera systems in the world. i hope they find out who did this and bring them to justice. that poor man just trying to make a living. those savages who did this should be made to pay.

Get real, we talking about Long Island, N.Y.! You honestly think you gonna post someone’s picture on the evening news and someone is going to recognize them! HAHAHHAHAHA, let’s at least try to be a little realistic here, that’s not gonna happen, not today, tomorrow, or next year. There’s so many “wanted” and “missing person” posters on the telephone poles along the streets of N.Y. it’s unreal! No one pays attention to that anymore, it’s just another statistic to them!
